On 29 July, during the peak period at around 5.30 pm at CTE road. A hit –and-run incident has occurred. A 21 years old, Mr. Thomas Lim Wei Jie and 18 years old Miss Lily Tan Mei Li were both hit. Mr. Thomas Lim Wei Jie and Miss Lily Tan Mei Li were both thrown over by the huge impact of the car on their motocycle. Miss Lily Tan Mei Li was sent to the hospital at Tan Tock Seng hospital and was in coma while Mr. Thomas Lim Wei Jie was pronounced dead on the spot when the ambulance arrived.

Madam Moliah Bte Ismail,36 years old ,house wife who was one of the passenger in one the cars said ,”All I was a loud bang !” she was unsure what cause the accident and was in a state of shock when interviewed.

His mother also said that, “They were both so young!” Mr. Thomas lim Wei Jie was Mr and Mrs Lim only son. When interview, Inspector Abdul Rahman want to advice drivers to drive carefully and not to talk on the hand phone when driving. While by standers are urged to notice the licence plate number plate of the vehicles and to come forward with information involved in the hit-and-run accident.
